Blog #144--Angels, Elementals and Spirit Guides

I have never seen or knowingly conversed with an angel, but I can’t prove they don’t exist. Some people say they have seen these winged energy forms, and they likely can’t all be wrong. A number of books, including the Christian Bible, say they exist and communicate at times with humans. So I am willing to consider the possibilities.
Some people claim to see elemental spirits that care for all aspects of Nature. Names for these spirits include fairies, gnomes, elves, leprechauns, brownies, undines and sylphs. Like angels, they are energy forms that exist in a different dimension and are thus usually invisible to humans. It seems that prepubescent girls are most likely to see or otherwise sense their presence because they have a strong subconscious or right brain hemisphere which is connected with the more invisible aspects of existence.
My wife Mary Jane is one of those who is convinced she saw fairies in her family’s garden when she was a little girl. She ran excitedly to her mother to announce the finding, but her mother scolded her for letting her imagination run wild. She was told to forget about it. The threat of punishment caused her to block memory of her experiences until she was an adult.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the Sherlock Holmes books, was shown photos taken by two young girls in 1917. Called the “Cottingley Fairies,” these photos depicted small winged spirits sharing space with one girl or the other. Most people decided the photos were faked, although there was no photoshop capability back then. The girls themselves admitted they faked them after Doyle passed beyond the veil, but one of the girls went to her grave claiming one of the photos was genuine.
A brief perusal of literature shared by credible people on the subject suggests that elementals and angels are on a similar but parallel evolutionary spiral toward the same ultimate destiny as humans, with elementals being the less mature forms. The “wee ones” grow and develop spiritually until they evolve into angels.
A highly talented channel who did two workshops and a number of private sessions at our bookstore claimed to communicate with elementals. She said there are elementals that are responsible for the welfare of our homes, automobiles and other nonliving items in addition to their more well-known roles in aiding the growth and welfare of plants, animals and other living creatures.
A number of books have been written claiming that humans have “guardian angels” as spirit guides. Again, I can’t discount the possibility. From my personal experience plus the results of 5000 aura photographs my wife and I took of our customers, some of which clearly showed faces of spirit guides in them, much of our guidance comes from non-corporeal friends who work with us and communicate with us as we proceed through our lives. They have lived as humans and/or other species and are now in spirit, perhaps awaiting their next incarnations. Some may be departed relatives.
In my book “It’s a Secret, So Pass It On: a Toolbox For Life,” I describe a phenomenal experience where a master guide named Eagle Feather communicated with us through a Ouija board. He gave us precise information on how we would be able to purchase the house that would become our bookstore and the name we would call it. Everything happened exactly as he said it would.
Supposedly, many people have guides who have lived lives as Native Americans or other tribal people from around the world. Those who maintained a balance with Nature and displayed reverence for all of life while in bodies make excellent spirit guides. Master guides oversee a number of other disembodied spirits, who also help guide us while learning more about themselves and their world through our experiences. Everyone has at least one and usually several spirit guides, with others looking on from a distance. After all, we are all connected throughout eternity, so we’re never alone.
When I had my explosion of awareness that led ultimately to my bookstore and book, I heard several male and female voices stating, “It’s about time.” I couldn’t tell if they were my spirit guides, extraterrestrials communicating from a distance, or simply cells of my brain awaiting expression. Regardless, they were loving, truthful voices whom I have come to trust.
I sometimes wonder whether we have anything at all to do with what we hear in our minds. The voice I hear most prominently, that which I copy when speaking out loud, doesn’t seem to be created by me. I have always assumed it was me, but now I’m not so sure. When I wrote my book, it seemed like I was taking dictation. The writing fell into place so easily, and the consistency of its message was so obvious, it is possible someone or something told me what to write and I copied what I was told. If so, it is evidence of at least one spirit guide.
I do sometimes recognize my female/child/right-brain/subconscious self when it communicates with me. It doesn’t have the complex language skills of my logical left brain, but it has an equally important role to play and needs us to love it and provide for its needs. When I was using a step-down nicotine patch to help me stop smoking, I felt my child expressing the fear that one week wasn’t enough to adapt to each lower level of nicotine, so I allowed for two weeks at each level. That solved the problem, proving I had heard correctly and provided for its needs.
I am not what you would call funny because I take most things seriously. Still, every once in awhile I hear a thought in my head that I find hilarious and share out loud with whomever is around at the moment. I now wonder whether that was the same voice that helped me write the book or perhaps another of my guides. Since we are all talented at some things more than others, perhaps we have guides who help us excel at one or more individual activities because of their expertise in those areas.
Perhaps our tendency to talk with ourselves is not as ridiculous as it sounds. Except for pathological conditions, it may be normal and necessary.
I can’t see angels and elementals, but some can. I am convinced they exist. Likewise, I can’t see spirit guides, but I have no doubt they exist. I have been helped too often and in too profound a way to discount all these experiences as hallucinations or exaggerated imagination.
Perhaps Doyle was fooled by fairy photos. If so, his lost credibility may have been deserved. Regardless, the existence of elementals and angels is a strong possibility. Spirit guides may or may not be angels, but we share our lives with them. And since the phrase “As above, so below” is a truism, and since we are variations on the same theme as all other life forms, if we have spirit guides, so do the other life forms.
They say, "Seeing is believing," but not seeing does not prove nonexistence.
