Blog #94--We Can't Hide Our Secrets Forever

Everyone has secrets. Even the most honest people among us are hesitant to tell the whole truth about their previous behaviors to everyone they meet. We have flaws and survival weaknesses that can make us vulnerable if in the wrong hands, so it is understandable why we might wish to keep those truths hidden. And many of us have broken laws or otherwise shown a moral depravity that we’d like no one to know about.

Like I describe in my book “It’s a Secret, So Pass It On: a Toolbox For Life,” everyone lies. In fact, our egos may be incapable of telling a complete truth within a three-dimensional existence because everything moves in circles. The energy preventing a straight line also prevents us from speaking truth with words that have variable interpretations by the different people we encounter. We may wish to tell the truth, but even our best efforts fall short of perfection.

Lies are essential in keeping secrets, so many of us use deception frequently to hide our real nature from friend and foe alike. Those of us involved in major conspiracies to do harm to others may be able to manipulate our secrets as deftly as a champion juggler. But even the naturally gifted liars cannot hide the truth from everyone. Someone will eventually figure it out.

I was reminded of this recently when I heard the song “Lyin’ Eyes” by the Eagles on the radio. It refers to a man who recognizes when his wife is having an affair. In many cases our body language, including certain tell-tale changes in our eyes, give away the truth of our subterfuge. Of course, some people are better liars than others. They learn how to act honest while creating fanciful but fictitious stories to disguise their true motivations and actions. A few people will see through these acts, but many can be fooled by expert liars, who are convinced they can hide secrets whenever it suits their agendas.

However, there is another level of understanding possible in this universe, one that guarantees all secrets will be revealed. There is a Sanskrit term called the Akashic Records, which means secret repository. The Akasha is defined as primary substance, the energy which makes up the universe. The Akasha maintains a record of every thought and action that has ever existed. The Bible refers to the Akashic Records as the Book of Life. Other terms for it include Cosmic Mind, Universal Mind, Eye of God and Mind of God.

Every thought and action is vibratory energy, and its uniqueness exists forever since energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Thus, while we may be able to keep certain secrets most of the time, we cannot keep them hidden forever. It is recorded for eternity, so no matter how smart we think we are for our ability to keep our secrets, we cannot hide truth from the universe itself. If life exists after we pass from our bodies, and I’m convinced it does, then we may still need to contend with these vibratory truths eventually.

But even within a single lifetime, it is extremely difficult to keep a secret from everyone. If nothing else, it still festers within our minds. We know the true story, so we must guard against exposure constantly. This can create an energy drain on us, adversely affecting our physical, mental and emotional welfare. For many, there is a hidden fear of exposure that requires more and more lies and cover-ups as we get older. Imbalances can manifest in all sorts of diseases and other problems.

Adding to our fear is stories of famous people who have kept secrets for years, only to be exposed before their lives are complete. Politicians, actors, corporate and financial leaders, famous coaches and athletes, members of the clergy and numerous others have been exposed in recent years, and more are to come. In a few cases, their true stories are not yet revealed but will be in the near future. They may yet be found innocent of illegalities. But for the most part, lives that seemed almost supernatural in their successfulness have been ruined when their hidden truths became public knowledge. I’m sure everyone reading this can think of someone who suffered the same fate.

It is easy to imagine there is no such thing as the Akashic Records, but the preponderance of evidence suggests they exist. As I stated in my book, I believe strongly that everyone is playing a role required of them from birth. If true, the Akashic Records may more accurately be called “The Book of Our Future.” If so, our past, present and future are already recorded before we experience them. It may also be an illusion that we as a group agree to believe is true.

Regardless, some people are as good at deciphering the truth from liars as the liars are at deceiving the general public. There is simply no way to guarantee we can maintain our secrets, no matter how committed we are to them or how talented we are at obfuscation. It is not my place to judge those who lack moral development or become involved in secret conspiracies. But one thing I know for sure: all secrets will be exposed eventually. Guaranteed! Forewarned is forearmed.
